Drunken Gnome Story

Okay I've only been drunk a few times in my life, this was one of them. It started at a after hours party at a Ren Faire, with me being really thirsty and some one handing the only thing that was cold, a blue boar beer in the bottle. He had just poped the top and turned around when I handed him teh empty bottle. Now he was amazed at my skill (I didn't know drinking really fast was a skill). So he handed me another.. when I drink it in a second or two.. he had to show someone else. Let's just say 4-5 beers in a minute suddenly made my inhibitions go away and I proceeded to drink from Rob's cup (Rob's known for really strong stuff in his cup and that you never want to accept his offer for a sip) Anyway, that a drink of yagermeister and some blue stuff someone was carrying in a backpack and I was pretty much gone and giggly. This amused my friends no end, as they have never seen me drunk. The thing I was aware of what was going on, just not lucid in how to deal with it. Such as a fight breaking out and one of members possibly at risk. I knew I didn't have the verbal skills to talk the drunk out of it, so I just told my friend, that if it goes down, just throw me in the general direction and I'll at least trip him. I remember telling Rob "Now I know what your like all the time", meaning the state of inebriation, I was kind of crude a few times. My friends took me to their house to crash.. and we continued to party. One of them gave me a sip of his Rum and Holiday Pepsi, which I proceeded to guzzle to his amazement. I also went around and groped a lot of women.. but here's the kicker 1) They didn't mind 2) I felt guilty for doing that so to justify it in my drunken state I went and grabbed their husbands chests too, and somehow that made it all right. That was the first night of the Drunken Gnome.

Eris, when you were drunk, you decided to dig in your foot with a craft knife for the sliver you got when you walked in your new lawn. That was a bad idea, but you did it anyway. While you were cutting a hole in your foot, you dropped the craft knife you were using, and it stuck, point first in your ankle. That hurt. You bled, a lot. But, I know you didn't mean anything by it, so I forgive you. It still hurts, and I hate your stupid drunk ass, but I still forgive you, because that is what Brian Boitano would do.

I am keeping track of those karma points, and apologizing to myself is, I think, good for at least a cat in my new life. Any thoughts?

I dunno about you fuckers, in fact, I don't know half of you fuckers. In my case, I have learned that if someone says "whatever you do don't bring this up" I am gonna go there, not only am I gonna go there, I am gonna push the subject after I have had a few drinks.

It's like someone says "hey, whatever you do, don't bring up the boys mom" and I am like ok when I am sober, and then, after a few drinks it comes out like "I am sorry I was the last person to have sex with your mom before she died" it's just that bad of tact.

I have a few people I really really like as people. I have this guy in Portland I would really like to be friends with, we have a lot in common, he's just a cool fucking guy, but I am pretty sure he would like to see me in a shallow grave for the fact that everytime I see him I bring up a topic that's best left alone. To him, I say i am sorry, I have asked someome to smack me everytime I bring this topic up, but I can't stop being a drunk, that just wouldn't be me.... Anyways folks, I am out, goodnight and see you tomorrow.

A public forum for me to post sorry's for all the stupid shit I do when I am hammered, it's a two sided coin as I also have a record of who I have and haven't appologized to.

Sure, some might say "Simon, you know, if you quit drinking you wouldn't need this tribe" to them I say; This tribe took me two minutes to make, probably another week to find a picture. Quitting drinking, now that's a life-long commitment, and I try to keep those to a minimum.
